Our field-correspondent, Laura Dickson (aka Parts Associate Extraordinaire), recently visited the Island, famous for being an inescapable fortress where the baddest of the bad once roamed. But now, Laura reports, it seems the only thing it can't contain is the urge for a little off-road adventure!

As the story goes, visitors to Alcatraz were in for a real shock when they spotted a Kubota RTV taking a leisurely drive along the island's pathways. Not quite what you'd expect on an island known for housing the likes of Al Capone and Robert Stroud, the Birdman of Alcatraz.

But you know, no one ever warned it about the ghost stories, the sharp cliffs, or the relentless seagull mobs.

Now, the big question is, how did this Kubota RTV manage to pull off the unthinkable and evade the prying eyes of the authorities? Did it have a tiny convict behind the wheel? Did it stow away on a tourist ferry? The mystery remains unsolved, but we can only assume it's one tough and resourceful vehicle.
